Germany-based AIM Systems GmbH develops innovative non-contact and non-destructive coating thickness measurement systems for industrial coating processes.

Thanks to AIM Systems' photothermal measurement technology, coating thickness can be measured with high precision without physical contact with the surface. The technology can be used with a wide range of coating and substrate combinations and enables measurements even on wet or uncured coatings.

CoatPro

Continuous and Precise Coating Thickness Measurement

CoatPro is a non-contact coating thickness measurement system based on the photothermal measurement principle. It is designed for use with a wide range of coating and substrate combinations.
The system combines continuous measurement capability with high measurement precision. Thanks to its non-contact measurement technology, measurements can also be performed on wet or uncured coatings.
CoatPro's wide angular tolerance enables measurements on inclined and curved surfaces. The system typically covers a coating thickness range of 1–1000 µm.

CoatPro XD

Visualize Coating Thickness Distribution

CoatPro XD is a high-resolution thermographic measurement system designed not only to measure coating thickness at individual points, but also to visualize the coating thickness distribution across the surface of a component.

With a single measurement, the coating thickness distribution over a large surface area can be captured and visualized. CoatPro XD utilizes the proven modulated LED technology used in CoatPro, providing high measurement accuracy with short measurement times.

The system typically covers a coating thickness range of 10–1000 µm and offers a *typical lateral resolution of better than 1 mm* within a 30 × 20 cm field of view.

Thanks to its non-contact measurement principle, CoatPro XD can also be used on wet and uncured coatings. Its wide angular tolerance enables measurements on curved surfaces.
